Lacerta (Lac)
"The Lizard"

Location:  R.A. = 22h 30m, Dec. = 45 N

History:  Truly an inconspicuous constellation, a bit more unusual for the Northern Hemisphere of the Celestial Sphere.  Lacerta was first described by Johannes Helvelius, a Polish astronomer, in 1687.  Since it is a modern constellation, there is no classical mythology associated with it.
