Stars

Running Time: 45-60 minutes

Every star has a story. Some are as old as time, faint and almost forgotten. Others burn bright and end their lives in powerful explosions. New stars are created every day, born of vast clouds of gas and dust. Through every phase of their existence, stars release the energy that light and power the Universe. Journey to the farthest reaches of our galaxy and experience the awesome beauty and the destructive power of stars.

Stars focuses on the lives of stars, from their birth to their death, and how human understanding of the stars has changed throughout history. From Native Americans to Isaac Newton, from the electromagnetic spectrum to Albert Einstein, audiences will travel throughout the galaxy to explore nebulae, star clusters, pulsars, black holes, and more!

Narrated by Star Wars’ Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), the program features an original soundtrack performed by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra.

The program concludes with a live look at the current night sky.
