What inspired you to want to work for the service of children?

After I returned home from college my freshman year, I substituted for a little extra money & fell in love with teaching.

What is your favorite part of working at HHS?

The friendly laid-back atmosphere.

When you were in high school what career did you want to go into? Was education your first intended major?

I went into college as a Pre-Vet major.

In high school what kind of stereotype did you fall into?

I’m not sure I guess Jock and Nerd. I played football and ran track, but I took physics and calculus.

What were your favorite classes in high school?

I have always loved science.

What was your first job?

I worked at Pizza Hut with Mr. Beason.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I do medieval reenactment. I fight, dance, and act.

What kind of music do you listen to?

I’m fairly eclectic. I listen to everything from Amadeus Mozart to Rob Zombie.
