What inspired you to want to work for the service of children?

I love to learn, so I wanted to be in a situation where learning is the focal point. Hopefully some of that love can be transferred to students so they can better their lives.

What is your favorite part of working at HHS?

The friendly staff and students.

In high school what kind of stereotype did you fall into? (nerd, jock, prep…etc.)

I was a hybrid. Metal Head and Jock

When you were in high school what career did you want to go into? Was education you first intended major?

Believe it or not I wanted to be a vice cop coming out of high school. Then I switched my major to political science and ended up teaching.

What were your favorite classes in high school?

History, Criminal Justice, and I went to a Catholic High School, so I found my Theology classes to be very thought-provoking

What was your first job?

Working as a parking lot attendent and groundskeeper for University of Colorado Hospital at age 17.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to read, hike, play tennis and believe it or not, I'm trying to learn how to surf. I bought one of those Indo Boards, where you train to surf in the house.

What kind of music do you like to listen to?

I have a wide range, but usually my favorite genres are classic metal and rock or blues. Specific favorites are Hendrix, Rage, Clapton, Chili Peppers, Sabbath, and Taj Mohal.
