Collision Repair's advanced students have the chance to compete anually in the Tennessee Valley Fair; and also the SkillsUSA competition, which consists of Regionals, State, and Nationals. Tyler Cagle won fifth place in the nation for Collision Repair in 2007. "I didn't know how to react," Cagle stated after his winning achievement. Mr. Byrd considers him to be one of the course's top students.
