Policies & Procedures
Starting Class
- Class begins when the bell rings
- The teacher will end class
- Be prepared with all needed materials
Tardies
- Students not in the room when the bell rings will be counted tardy
- Students who are tardy will spend time after class cleaning
- On the third tardy students may choose from a Short-Simple-Sentence or a trip to The Bowl in addition to their cleaning duty
Class Time
- There will be no eating or drinking at any time in the classroom
- If food or drink makes an appearance in my class without a doctor's note, it will be confiscated and trashed
- Make-up will not be allowed in the class. Keep it in your purse if you have it
- If you are caught putting it on, you will lose it
- Please respect other people's property while in class (especially mine)
- Anyone caught vandalizing desks or other objects in the classroom will spend time cleaning the mess
Leaving Class
- Students should limit their trips from the classroom
- You may leave for emergencies or restroom trips as long as these are not abused
- Remember that time out of class puts you behind in note-taking
Class Work
- Pens, markers, or other permanent writing utensils are not recommended in this class
- Work turned in late will receive half-credit
- You have as many days as you were out plus one to make-up your work
- If there are extenuating circumstances, please let me know and we will deal with them
- If you show no work on any assignment, test, ect., you will receive no credit
- If you are caught copying someone else's work, your paper, along with the other student's paper will be thrown away
In addition to the previous rules, students must adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in their student handbook.
