Honors Anatomy and Physiology
Coach Shane Rewis

Parent/Guardian;

The human anatomy and physiology course covers the systems of the human body and their functions. Designed to meet the needs of University Path students, this course is also recommended for Technical Path students intereted in medical technology careers. Students will learn how to identify the anatomical parts of the entire human body from memory. Anyone taking this class must have passed Biology I.

Considering there are 11 body systems to be covered in 18 weeks, this is a fast paced, high intensity class. The student will be expected to read and study on his own. In order to better understand the anatomy and physiology of certain areas, the student should be prepared and willing to dissect a fetal pig throughout the semester.

The grades in this class will be broken down into three categories:

1. Tests=60%
Vocabulary tests will be matching.
Chapter tests will be taken using scantron answer sheets, so everyone will require a #2 pencil.

2. Quiz=30%
Definitions

3. Notebook=10%
A neat and organized notebook will be required for this class; all papers will be handed back and should be kept in their notebook.
