Honors Chemistry I & Regular Chemistry I
This class is one of our most difficult courses. Because of its difficulty your child will be expected to study at least 20 to 30 minutes
every night. If your child feels like they are falling behind, they will need to be at school between 7:30 a.m. and 8:10a.m. to receive
tutoring. This is your child's responsibility. You can keep up with your student's progress by logging onto Star Student.
Honors Chemisty I Required Project Every Honors student is required to complete
a science project during the semester before he/she can receive credit for
the course.
If the student fails to complete the project in, full, credit in Honors Chemistry I cannot be given.
Donation Fee The fee for Chemistry is $15.00. In addition to the fee all students will be expected to pay for anything they break or
lose during the school year. Chemistry spends between $2,000 and $2,500 every year for the purchase of chemicals and
replacement equipment. The Science Department spends about $8,000 every year for the consumable materials.
Your fees and any additional donations are greatly needed for the continued successful running of this department.
