Amanda Vance

Supervisor of Elementary Instruction and District Communications

Amanda Vance serves as the Supervisor of Elementary Instruction and District Communications. In this role,

she is responsible for the supervision of PreK-5 instruction as well as serves as the spokesperson for

Blount County Schools. Ms. Vance also coordinates the district’s efforts in the areas of reading instruction, instructional coaching, professional development, and communication initiatives.  


She has served more than  20 years  in education in multiple roles. Prior to her current role, Ms. Vance supported students and administrators as:

  • Supervisor of Special Education; Blount County Schools from 2013-2019
  • Supervisor of Special Education; Monroe County Schools; 2006-2013
  • Instructional Coach for Monroe County Schools from 2002-2006
  • Special Education teacher at Sweetwater High School from 1998-2002.

Ms. Vance holds a Specialist in Education degree and a Master’s degree from Tennessee Tech University focused on instructional leadership.

She has a bachelor’s degree in special education from Tusculum University.  


She has been married to her college sweetheart Jason for over 20 years and loves committing her time to their two children Emily and Will.
