I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting many of you, and I want you to know that I am excited to be serving as your Principal.  This is will be my 16th year with Blount County Schools.  I have served as a substitute teacher, a teaching assistant, teacher, and assistant principal.  I spent nine years teaching at Hubbard Elementary School, and when it closed I moved to Porter Elementary.  I spent less than a year teaching third grade at Porter when I moved into the assistant principal position from which I have spent the last five years.

    Townsend has a wonderful group of students, faculty and staff and I know this will be one of my best school years.  Thank you for the kind wishes and the smiling faces that have greeted me each day.  Please do not hesitate to call or come by if there is a problem, I will be happy to help in any way I can.
