Designed with school groups in mind, this matinee of Laser Spirit is 15 minutes shorter than the full show and is not as visually or audibly intense. Many schools elect to see both a planetarium show followed by a laser show, which can be two hours and a lot to sit through. Planetarium shows and laser shows are designed to be independent productions, and combined can be too much stimulus when seen back-to-back. The matinee program utilizes the same effects as the full version; it has merely had two sections cut from it.
